Hilton Meats Ltd. part of Fane Valley Co-operative Society, today presented a cheque for £500 to the Northern Ireland Children’s Lapland Trust.
A Northern Ireland based charity that helps children throughout the province by giving them a day they and their families will never forget. Many of these children endure the burden of illness throughout their entire lives – a lifetime which is sadly too short.
The aim of the Northern Ireland’s Children To Lapland Trust is to fulfill the dreams of terminally ill, long-term ill and deserving children, by taking them to see Santa at his home in Lapland. General Manager of Hilton Meats Ltd. Mark Beggs commented:
“We are very happy to be able to help and contribute towards the great work that the team at Northern Ireland Children’s Lapland Trust do on a day to day basis culminating in the annual trip to Lapland. We are very humbled by the strength of the children and to see the videos of previous trips and witness the smiles and excitement is something special. We hope to be able to help Jack and his team in the trust in the future.”
Speaking at the cheque presentation, Jack Rodgers MBE, Chairman of Northern Irelands Children’s Lapland Trust:

The Trust and I are indebted to Northern Ireland companies such as Hilton Meats for providing the support for us so we are able to help create and facilitate the children’s special day to Lapland. The children who travel with us are nominated solely by their hospitals and doctors and I hope this year even more children will benefit and that many individuals and companies will support us in our fund raising efforts”
